How many of you have waited all year long for the release of the Shamrock Shake at a fast food joint that shall remain nameless?

I know I have!

Just because you’re eating healthy doesn’t mean you can’t indulge!

This Healthy Shamrock Shake tastes so much like the real thing, it’s scary! And you probably have the ingredients in your kitchen already. It’s a great treat for the month of March when you see “everyone else” sitting in the drive-thru line under the glow of some golden arches to sip on their favorite minty delight.

You can make it at home, share it with friends (or don’t!) and help convince people that you aren’t missing out on the fun stuff!

What’s in a “real” Shamrock Shake?

According to the home of the Shamrock Shake…

Ingredients in the Syrup: High Fructose Corn Syrup, Corn Syrup, Water, Sugar, Natural Flavor, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate (Preservative), Yellow 5, Blue 1. May contain small amounts of other shake flavors served at the restaurant, including egg ingredients when Egg Nog Shakes are available.

Ingredients in the Vanilla Ice Cream: Milk, Sugar, Cream, Corn Syrup, Natural Flavor, Mono and Diglycerides, Cellulose Gum, Guar Gum, Carrageenan, Vitamin A Palmitate.

What’s in the REAL Shamrock Shake?

Ingredients: Banana, Avocado, Spinach, Coconut Milk, Peppermint Oil, Ice, Vanilla Extract, Honey
